Traveling Stories

Traveling Stories is a nonprofit organization based in San Diego that provides low-income children access to quality literacy support. Their mission is to empower children achieve their dreams. They have opened eight international libraries and have empowered almost 10,000 local children in San Diego. Traveling Stories has trained almost 700 volunteers!

Company Overview
Monarch School and its committed team of teachers, support staff and volunteers are dedicated to providing children impacted by homelessness with an accredited education while caring for their basic needs. Today, more than 175 kids between the ages of 4 and 19 are enrolled at Monarch School.

Upsilon Kappa Delta's Involvement
Upsilon Kappa Delta hosts a philanthropy week in which we dedicate a series of events to raise awareness to the Monarch School Program while simultaneously raising money for them. During this week we host our annual Sweethearts Auction, where we raffle off themed baskets created by our newest members. ΥΚΔ is also dedicated to participating in hands on work within the program by cooking dinner for the students and their extended families.
